    Let’s Go! Net Zero event at Adelphi

    Making sustainable business work for the planet and the bottom line

    On Wednesday 28th February, Adelphi hosted a presentation, tour and networking event at their West Sussex site, in partnership with .

    The aim was to use Adelphi’s eco-friendly production facility – The Friary – as a case study to inspire other local businesses, to demonstrate what can be achieved and the environmental and financial benefits which can be realised.

    Almost 30 local manufacturing businesses were represented at the event, demonstrating the industry’s great appetite to learn and improve. Among the features demonstrated at Adelphi were:

    • Rainwater Harvesting
    • Evaporative Cooling
    • Artesian Well
    • Solar Panels
    • Air/Ground Source Heat Pump

     

    The Let’s Go! Net Zero initiative represents a vital step towards combating climate change and fostering sustainable development within the region. Through this initiative, local authorities, businesses, and residents are collaborating to achieve ambitious targets aimed at reducing carbon emissions and transitioning towards a greener, more environmentally friendly future. By promoting renewable energy sources, implementing energy-efficient technologies, and encouraging sustainable practices across various sectors, Let’s Go! Net Zero seeks to minimize the county’s ecological footprint while maximizing its resilience to the challenges posed by climate change. Through community engagement and innovative solutions, West Sussex is paving the way for a brighter, more sustainable tomorrow for generations to come.

     

    Let鈥檚 Go! Net Zero is underpinned by West Sussex County Council鈥檚 and the West Sussex District & Borough Council鈥檚 shared priority to support businesses to make decisions which reduce carbon impact to build a sustainable and prosperous economy for our county.
